Cases Management

Bulk editing cases

Last updated on 21 Oct, 2022

iQ Abuse Manager allows you to edit cases in many ways.

One such way is the bulk edit option.

Particularly useful when you have cases that:

  • Conform to a similar pattern

  • Require similar case notes

  • Are present in large numbers

You can perform bulk updates in a few ways but here are 2 of the main methods

1) When all the cases fit in one Case Management window

  • Highlight the cases you wish to update  (click on the case, hold down SHIFT button and select the "last" case).

  • Right-click the highlighted cases and click "Edit Cases"

  • Update the relevant information in the "Bulk Edit" window

  • Click "Submit"

2) When you have more cases that can fit in one Case Management window

  • Filter the cases as needed e.g. by "Created", "Status" etc.

  • Group the cases as needed e.g. by "Category", by dragging the column name into the grouping region

  • Your cases are now grouped

  • Expand the case group you wish to update

  • Highlight the cases you wish to update by clicking on the square next to the Category name.

  • Right-click the highlighted cases and click "Edit Cases"

  • Update the relevant information in the "Bulk Edit" window

  • Click "Submit"
